Chairman

Chairman of PCEC since 1989. Researcher- physician E. David Crawford, MD, has devoted his career in medicine to educating the public about men's health issues and finding effective techniques and procedures to address prostate cancer.   Dr. Crawford is currently a Professor of Urology at the University of California, San Diego, an emeritus distinguished endowed Professor of Surgery, Urology, and Radiation Oncology, and Head of the Section of Urologic Oncology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

Dr. Leonard Gomella is the Bernard W. Godwin, Jr. Professor of Prostate Cancer and Chairman of the Department of Urology at Jefferson Medical College, and the Associate Director for Clinical Affairs at the Kimmel Cancer Center.  Additionally, Dr. Gomella is the Urology Chair for RTOG, serving as lead Urology investigator on multiple national trials. He has served as President of the Mid-Atlantic section of the AUA and is currently the Society of Urologic Oncology President Elect.

Dr. Moyad received his master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida where he was one of the lead investigators of the L-tryptophan dietary supplement study that helped to remove this dangerous supplement from the market.

Daniel P. Petrylak, MD, recently named Leader of Prostate Medical Oncology at Yale Cancer Center in New Haven, CT. Dr. Petrylak, an internationally known medical oncologist, to lead the genitourinary cancers medical oncology team at Smilow Cancer Hospital and as director of the prostate cancer research group and co-director of the Signal Transduction Research Program. Dr. Petrylak joins Yale from NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

Neal D. Shore, MD, FACS, is the Medical Director of the Carolina Urologic Research Center. He practices with Atlantic Urology Clinics in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Shore has conducted more than 100 clinical trials, focusing mainly on prostate and bladder disease.
